Our Company

Hidden Wave Boardshop is a rider owned and operated snowboard and Skateboard shop.  Started up in 2001 by Adam McCoy following in the legacy of Scott Burwell of the Slant Boardshop.  Hidden Wave is just one store located on Burlington Blvd in Burlington Washington of the Pacific Northwest.

 

Some words from Adam McCoy:

 

“I opened  Hidden Wave when I was just 20 years old.  I grew up in the Pacific Northwest riding everything that rolled or didn’t roll.  Got my first skateboard when  I was 5, and my first snowboard when I was 9.  Obsessed with shredding anything in sight. When it came time to hang up the Motocross Career, opening up shop made the most sense to me.  I had barely a quarter of business classes in community college when I made the plunge.  Being able to take the location and already established customer base from the Slant Boardshop, the transition was pretty smooth.  First few years were a challenge as all new business are.  A few good winters and a strong philosophy on what I board shop should be, things started to grow very fast.

 

We continue to offer the highest quality of products as well as what our customers want and need.  Our rider owned and operated philosophy really works well.  We only sell brands and products that we can stand behind, or ride on.  I believe in selling only snowboard brand boards.  The ski companies have had over 100 years to make money, while the snowboard industry is young and needs the support.  At one time some ski brands made claims that snowboarding would never make it and, it was a wast of money.  After proven success, many of those same companies jumped on the band wagon to get a piece of the pie.  I have nothing against skiers or the ski industry.  I just want to support the originators who started it for the love of snowboarding.

 

We have sold and continue to sell hundreds different brands in snowboards, skateboards, Clothing, shoes, eye-wear, and accessories.  We believe in making all our customers feel like part of the hidden wave family, and offer  knowledge and education about products and activities that we sell and market.  We are always looking for ways to improve our retail environment and customer experience.  Putting on local skateboard contests and throwing video premiers is a great way for us to include the community and support the industry that keeps us rolling.  Come check out our 2000 square foot retail store and see what a fully stocked healthy core boardshop has to offer.  We are committed to giving you a real and quality experience of the lives we live.”
